Leon Greening Trio

A mainstay of the London jazz scene, pianist Leon Greening channels the influence of Bud Powell, Wynton Kelly and Bobby Timmons amongst others in a hard swinging post-bop style. Leon released his debut album ‘Cookin in Brooklyn’ in 2012, recorded in New York with legendary alto saxophonist Vincent Herring.
Having cultivated a name for himself as a sideman with Alex Garnett, Clark Tracey, Damon Brown and many others, this Leicester performance features Leon with his trio, comprised of some of the hardest working players on the jazz scene today.
